Assemble set series Leonardo da Vinci’s armored car was the precursor to the modern-day tank. Da Vinci’s design was capable of multi-directional movement and was equipped with cannons that were arranged in a 360-degree firing range around its circumference. To propel its considerable weight, da Vinci designed a geared mechanism with cranks located inside that could be pulled by soldiers. A conical cover was meant to protect the crew, while a sighting turret offered the advantage of having a harbored outlook to the battlefield.
